2025 Gandy Dancer Days Tournament - Saturday, 8/9/2025

Thanks to everyone who participated (as players or spectators) in our annual Gandy Dancer Days Tournament!  Despite some spotty weather, we had a great turnout and fantastic tournament.  Special thanks to all of our volunteers and CONGRATULATIONS to all of our winners!:

  • Beginner/Intermediate “Gold” Bracket – Henry Michaels/Sharon Johnson vs. Larry Reitsema/Janine Michaels (final was rained out!)

  • Beginner/Intermediate “Silver” Bracket – Chuck Amrhien/Steve Bakken vs. Andy Lange/Carole McIntyre (final was rained out!)

  • Intermediate/Advanced “Gold” Bracket – Mark Elliott & Jason Ellefson

  • Intermediate/Advanced “Silver” Bracket – Tom Shirley & Anders Pesavento

In addition, our 50/50 raffle was won by Barb McDonald and the raffle for a 1-hour private lesson with Jacob Ellefson was won by Janine Michaels – CONGRATULATIONS!

GDPA May Mixer - Saturday, 5/24/2025

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday, May 24th to play in another great “Mixer” tournament at the Siren Ball Park!  We had 24 players in 2 brackets, and saw some great games in our popular Mixer format. Our winners were:

Group 1: Mike Staloch and Steve Bakken

Group 2: Andrew Hursh and Alex Pesavento

Siren Court Celebration - Saturday, 9/28/2024

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday, September 28th to celebrate and play on the beautiful new permanent courts at the Siren Ball Park!  We had a great turnout, enjoyed some fellowship and of course played some of our favorite sport — pickleball!

We would like to thank to the Siren Village Board for their partnership on this fantastic project! Special thanks to the Bernick Family Foundation, whose grant kick-started the whole project.

Finally, THANK YOU to all GDPA members who contributed through membership fees, donations and support over the last couple of years!

2024 Gandy Dancer Days Tournament

The 2024 GDD Tournament was held on Saturday, August 10th. This year, we held a GDPA member “mixer” tournament with 2 divisions. We had another great turnout, including plenty of fans. Thanks to all who participated and cheered on the players!

GDPA Mixer Tournament (May, 2024)

The first “Mixer” format tournament was held in May, 2024 to kick off the summer pickleball season. We had a great turnout, great food and of course, great pickleball!

GDPA Cookout (June, 2023)

The official kickoff to the summer 2023 outdoor season was held on Saturday, June 10, highlighted by great food and fellowship. Special thanks to the committee members for pulling together a great event to start off the summer season!

Gandy Dancer Days Tournament (August, 2022)

The first annual Gandy Dancer Days Tournament was held August 12-14, 2022 in Webster, with Mixed, Men’s and Women’s divisions. A rainy morning did not deter the participants on the first day!
